Choosing a Destination Wedding Location

Many people today are very busy with their careers that when a couple decides to get married and they both have busy careers to take care of, planning a wedding can become an impossible task.  A destination wedding is a great choice for a couple who doesn’t want the hassle of planning a large wedding.  Destination weddings can relieve a lot of the pressure and decisions associated with a traditional wedding.  This can make the wedding a much more enjoyable experience for all involved and allow for a peaceful start to a lifetime commitment. 

Destination weddings used to be reserved for the rich and famous.  The cost of having family and friends fly to a vacation site and then housing and feeding everyone was more than the average person could begin to afford.  Now there are several companies which specialize in affordable destination weddings.  These companies boast the ability to save a couple thousands of dollars in comparison to a traditional wedding.  The destination wedding will be completely taken care of by the company.  Everything from the lodgings to the catering and decorations is provided in the cost.  This truly makes for a wonderful wedding experience.

From Paris to Pocono

There are many wonderful destinations for a wedding.  Locations such as Hawaii, Mexico, Las Vegas, or an island in the Caribbean are all great options.  There are also nice locations in the southern states which offer southern mansions for the wedding.  Large romantic cities such as Paris and New York are also nice choices.  Some people may want a wedding in a mountain area and there are many beautiful locations such as Jackson Hole, Wyoming or the Pocono’s which would provide nice locales.  Beach weddings can be had without travel to an island.  Florida and the gulf coast of the United States offer scenic beaches with great facilities.

Weather Warnings

When choosing a destination wedding location, careful thought needs to be given to the time of year and weather conditions.  If the Caribbean or Mexico is the ideal choice the wedding couple needs to be aware of the hurricane season and plan accordingly.  While it is cheaper to travel to these locations during the hurricane season, it would not be very nice to have a wedding in a hurricane.  Las Vegas is very hot in the summer and may not be the best choice for a June wedding.  Simple common sense will help the couple pick the best location for the date and will make the destination wedding a charming and memorable time.
